If your farm job is part of an industry that does not provide essentials, then you will likely have more to worry about than if your farm job is in an industry providing essentials only.
If there are many other employees in the business you work for with the same farm job you have, that could be another sign that your farm job might be endangered by a recession. Those who are paid the highest in your position will likely be the first targeted by layoffs, so if you think you might be in a position to be laid off, it may be worthwhile trying to put yourself in a position where you are invaluable to the farm's operations.
